FIVE and FRIDAY

Happy FRIDAY!!!

{ONE}

Ok seriously - loved all the support about Noah's Bandage Project so much on Wednesday this week.  An amazing blogger even emailed me and said the cause spoke so much to her that she is going to have people bring bandaids to her son's birthday party.  HOW AWESOME!!

Thank you for spreading the word and the support of this amazing cause.  And just so you know, this wasn't a one time thing to gather bandaids - they are always collecting bandaids and sending them to hospitals all over the world - so don't feel like you missed the chance to participate!!

{TWO}

Tomorrow = October = decorated for fall!  Well, I actually did that a while back (and Charlie and Maddie were SOOOO excited), but I'm loving my combo wreath + dollar spot Target sign on the front door.  Perfect because I can easily remove the sign after Halloween and keep the wreath up for fall.

PS Isn't the back cute too!?

{THREE}

 I have a whole blog post coming that is "behind the pictures" because AGH.  Sometimes, we just have bad parenting days, right?  But here's a question for you...what to do if you kid legit HATES an activity that you have already paid for.  He doesn't so much hate soccer, but the indoor facility he doesn't like at all because his it hurts his ears.  I'm contemplating just stop taking him.  He does soccer at school and loves it and has loved it the last two years when we did it outdoors - but not indoors.  Too late to transfer to their outdoor program - but I hate wasting the money and if it seems like to him it's ok to "quit".

GRRR parenting.

But literally - he was so excited last week for soccer (see pic below).  And then we get there and BAM.  Meltdown because it's too loud.

{FOUR}

If you're in KC and/or a Chiefs fan, you'll want to jump on this amazing sale at  Freelance Clothing.  All their super cute Chiefs stuff is 50% off today.  NO WAY.  I must have the adorable unisex Arrowhead Hoodie.  Even though I'm not a diehard fan, my husband is, so I must look the part, right??  DUH!

{FIVE}

Finally - I'm kicking off my fitness challenge group for October on Monday and I'm SOOOO excited.  Going to keep up my good habits as I go into starting back up at work next week.  I'm going to post my results on my fitness blog soon - but today I have some must have fitness apps that I love!  Take a look HERE!!

With fall weather this weekend, we are excited to get out and about for the Aquinas homecoming game, celebrate Shining for Sharon, continue with our basement clean up and FINALLY - A SUSHI DATE NIGHT!!  I've been dying for this since Mikey was born almost 11 weeks ago!!

Cheers to the weekend!

Five reasons I'm back at it!

Mikey is two months old on Monday.  I'm not sure how that is possible.  For real. Time flies!!!

One thing I was determined to do after I had this sweet babe was not wait forever to get back to my old self (i.e. the workout habits and healthy eating that I was doing). I was really good at working out this pregnancy and I was floored at the difference it made.  I am not sure why I was so surprised because - DUH - but it really made me feel so much better and less aches and pains.  And I had some bad ones- including pretty bad varicose veins from 18 weeks and on.  So this time around, I didn't wait 6 months (like I did with Maddie) or just never do it before I got pregnant again (like I did after Charlie!).  After I had my six week check up, I went full speed ahead and here's a few reasons why!

{ONE}

I love the way I feel when I work out.  Before we went on our five year anniversary trip in May 2015, I was in really good shape as far as my standards.  And I just felt good.  More energized, I didn't need caffeine for energy and I loved being a little sore after working out because I felt STRONG!!!

Happy and healthy celebrating anniversary #5!

{TWO}

Speaking of strong - the thing I for sure learned when I started working out after I had Maddie was how exercise could make me so toned.  The way I feel about my arms and legs isn't always the best relationship (yeah...I have flabby arms and I'm not a fan of the way my legs looked in shorts).  When I work out I feel like I can wear shorts and tank tops and rock it!!

This was me in May 2015 and I loved how toned my arms looked.  My arms get a LOT of work anyways from holding kids and babies....but I began to love lifting weights so much!  Push ups?  Still not a fan at all.

{THREE}

Stomach issues.  I didn't talk a lot about this when I was pregnant on the blog, but with this pregnancy I had some weird stomach issues going on.  Like enough that my OB sent me to a gastroenterologist for a consult and testing.  I went on a probiotic (no big deal) but also saw a HUGE difference when I didn't eat greasy fried food and lots of dairy.  I love both so much- for real.  Give me some chicken wings and fried pickles and a big beer and yep...my kind of night.  End it with a pot hole cookie dough concrete from Sheridan's even better.  But that night and next day- ugh. Not cool on how I felt.

One of my favorite things is the flexibility in the eating plan.  I like to explore and find something that I love and then usually stick with it.  This has been my go to breakfast these last few weeks (just 2 eggs and then one green container of veggies) and I love it.

Obviously, eating healthier makes me feel better and helps with those stomach issues- so starting now was the perfect time!  Especially still being on maternity leave...I've found once I get in a good habit (21-30 days) it's much easier for me to keep up because I see the positive effects.  I probably wouldn't keep it up if I attempted this right when I went back to work!!  Because yeah, we all know how fun (i.e. Completely CRAZY) life is when you head back to work after leave. Talk about a reality check!

{FOUR}

Am I allowed to say it's FUN?!! Ha.  I decided to start off my post pregnancy work outs with the new country heat work out program from Beachbody and seriously it's SO MUCH FUN.  I'm almost a full 2 weeks in and have done 4 of the routines and I'm obsessed.  I love the music (I'm a country music fan so duh...), but I'm amazed how Autumn made up these dance moves that are like jumping squats that I do and love.  I guess it's amazing how your mind can trick you when you think you're "just" dancing!

But they are 30 minute or less work outs and Mikey seems to be mystified by the videos.  Sometimes he sleeps through them and sometimes he doesn't.  Sometimes I push pause and stop to rock him like 4 times...but I still finish (what I love about working out at home).  Anything more than 30 minutes I just can't do, especially in the long term.  When I go back to work, life is going to be insane (obviously...), so hopefully I can squeeze them in before work.  We will see!  But so far I'm seriously seeing amazing results in such a short amount of time.  From dancing.  And looking ridiculous while doing it.  But having so much fun.  And Mikey gets his tummy time exercises in too!

{FIVE}

And finally- something I never thought I would do.  Ever. But with the amazing results I continue to get with Beachbody programs over the last 4 years of using them and the absolutely amazing community of support and accountability that I've found through the challenge groups...I decided to sign up to be a coach.

Yep you read that right.  But the funny part is, as much as I built signing up in my mind, it's really not that huge of a deal.  I bought a challenge pack of country heat + vegan chocolate shakeology (since I'm nursing and not eating dairy- it's a good option and this is my first time trying it--- it's delicious!) and paid a $40 fee that I was reimbursed for and that's it.  And now I get a 25% discount and the best part??  I can help people.  Nope. I'm not a fitness expert or nutritionist by ANY means.  But you know what I needed more than anything when I started my fitness and healthy eating journey...support, encouragement, resources, direction and accountability.  That's exactly what my coach provided for me and I'm excited to focus more on working out and eating healthy and hopefully helping and inspiring others along the way.  Because guess what?  I get the excuses.  I get that you are busy.  I get that you're stressed and the LAST thing you want to do is work out or eat healthy.  I am too!  But, at least for me, putting minimal effort into these programs gave me some AMAZING results and best of all even more energy than I had before.

I really have no idea what I'm doing...or where to start.  I am coming from a little different place than lots of the others on my team because I love my job and am in no way looking for this as a way to quit working...just something fun to do that can earn some spending money along the way + encourage others.  So instead of spamming my personal social media feeds, which is not my style, I made a blog (that's how I speak...) and a separate Instagram account.

If you are at all interested in my own journey, my tips and tricks and {the best part} my week one country heat results - which I promise you will be shocked - check out my blog at www.yourparadisefitness.com and Instagram handle @yourparadisefitness.  I promise I won't be changing what I blog about here (which is pretty much nothing and everything...), so don't you worry 😉 but these are just ways to follow along if you want to!!!

PS this is really scary for me to post- especially my week one results picture (oh my!)...so don't make fun of me!! I promise I'm not crazy - but I'm excited for my own health journey to continue and hoping to help others get on board with a totally doable way to get healthy too!

Now let's see if I can make some healthy choices on our six hour car ride (that will no doubt turn it at least 8-9 hours with three kids!) to Iowa to visit my grandma.  That's the true test!

Side note- if you haven't noticed from my other posts that Jimmy was out to town all week.  We are all soooo happy to have that guy back that I'm making him promise he will never have to leave again.  Ha!

Happy weekending!!!

Skinny Mom Resident Mom!

Guess what?  I am part of a cool program through the website Skinnymom.com.  I'm was thrilled to be chosen to write for them a few articles here and there - so I will keep you up to date on that.

In the mean time, you have heard me rave a bit about how effective my at home work outs have been  since January - and here are some of the reasons why I choose to workout at home.

Enjoy!

Menu Planning Monday

So here we are towards the end of July and I'm finally feeling that hopefully life will go back to "normal" from the craziness that started May 17 when I headed off on my first trip.  Three countries and many states later...from vacation to work travel to "trips" (see last post - haha!), I'm ready to enjoy time at home and get back to working out every morning and getting back to the 21 day fix eating plan.  To faciliate that - I need to menu plan.  So when I saw Colleen from Meet the Sullivan's was going to host a menu planning link up, I thought I'd join in to hold myself accountable. Just what I need!

Five on Friday: my 21 day fix results

Here is goes.  My 21 day fix results on this Friday.

The best part is?  It didn't stop at 21 days.  Nope - I have kept it up almost everyday since the beginning of January.  And I'm damn proud of it!  For many reasons, but I also had not worked out since before I had Charlie.  BEFORE CHARLIE.  I cannot even remember life before that because it seems so long ago, but I have been pregnant or breastfeeding for the last 3.5 years and like no consistent working out that whole time.  Talk about intimidating to start something like this.

I talked about the 21 day fix and even shared some of my recipes that were my favorite throughout the whole process at the end of my first 21 day round.  You can find that here.

These are the before and after pictures from that round.  My first round.  21 days of working out in my closet (weird I know, but I have a big closet...) in the mornings before work/my kids get up.

It wasn't easy at ALL.  Getting up EVERY day to work out was hard.  Especially when I had my 6 month old still waking up at least once a night and a few more time most nights.  My alarm would go off at 4:59 and I would cringe.  It was horrible.  I was sore and tired and just didn't want to do it.  On top of that, when I started this on January 3 - I had just had surgery on my foot to take out a neuroma (apparently a growth on the nerve), so my nerve between my third and fourth toe was cut out completely.  I was cleared to work out, but wasn't sure how I would feel.  But I was determined to not have ONE more excuse.  I felt like I had an excuse month after month and wasn't going to let that stop me this time.

 What kept me motivated?  Honestly, it was the challenge group I was in on facebook.  The ladies in that group were amazing and so motivating to each other.  I knew that other people were just as tired and just as sore - but I knew they were getting up too, so I did it.  And I was so happy to report to my group that I did.  Oh and I can't forget to mention my in house accountability partner - Jimmy.  He is not a veggie guy at all, but went with me on this and ate whatever I prepared and stuck to the meal plans and containers himself.  On the weekends, we always ask when each other plans on working out and we hold each other to it as well - as that is harder because we don't like to get up early!  He's pretty great.  Pretty amazing how accountability works, right?

The eating part.  Well - that was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be.

I'm not going to lie - it's COMPLETELY overwhelming at first.  You get these random colored containers and a booklet to explain them to you.  They tell you how many they recommend for effective weight loss and that's it.  I wanted more - like "tell me exactly what to eat and when".  But since that was non-existent, I took to Pinterest and the Internet to look for some good 21 day fix recipes.  The main thing is, no salt and not sugar (with a few cheats allowed - wine and chocolate, which is awesome!).  I also made a spreadahseet - because Excel is my love language.

What I learned in those 21 days about eating?  There is NO need to constantly restrict myself.  I really was rarely ever hungry - I swear.  But I was fueling myself with healthy food.  Choosing an apple and peanut butter as a snack versus a handful of potato chips.  I was making healthy (and delicious) meals for my family.  I learned how to use spices and seasonings that are good for you (did I mention vanilla flavoring and cinnamon are my best friend now?).

My husband and 2.5 year old started eating vegetables.

Yes, go ahead and re-read that.  That might just be worth the whole pain of it all.

But what made it successful?  I planned.  I planned.  I planned.  Meal planned to be exact.  I had the first 2 weeks laid out exactly for every meal and snack that Jimmy and I were having (he was doing the eating part with me and working out alone).  It was kind of crazy, but that is what made it work for us because I had healthy snacks at my fingertips during the day.  Both of our works actually cater in lunch and yep - we both took our lunch everyday instead to ensure we had the most healthy.

I didn't like all the prep work.  At all.  But it was worth it.

My before pictures at the very beginning of my 21 day journey and my after at the end of 21 days:

I especially like how you can see my abs in the picture on the right.

And from inches - guess how many inches I lost in total on my body?  19.  NINETEEN.

Like seriously?  Yes - from my stomach, my legs, my hips, my arms.  It was amazing how it just fell off.  Keep in mind though - I also had a 6 month old and gained 40lbs during that pregnancy, so I had plenty to go.  My ultimate goal was to lose 10lbs and just get back to where I was pre-baby.  But when I lost 11, I just wanted to see how much I was capable of.

And I'm happy to report - that as of this morning (over 4 months into my journey) - I have lost 20lbs.  I'm 10lbs lighter than I was when I got pregnant with Maddie and it's crazy to me.  Crazy that I did this - my hard work and dedication to it really did pay off.  And it feels so good.  I feel so good.  In so many ways.  So that's what I wanted to do for my five on Friday - five things I have learned/enjoyed in the last 4 months of this journey.

{ONE}

You do have the time.

I promise - I didn't think it was possible.  I mean WHEN in the world am I supposed to work out???  I work full time from 7:30-4 everyday.  Love that I get off at 4 to pick up my kiddos and spend time with them before it's their bed time, but then after they are in bed, I spend time cleaning the house, doing laundry...oh yeah, and watching TV.  So no time for that.

I did start trying to work out after I put my kiddos to bed, but that didn't work for me because some nights I have dinner with friends, meetings at church, etc.  I didn't like that I couldn't work out at a consistent time - so I decided the mornings it is.  And I make time and make myself get up.

Everyone has 30 minutes in most of their days to work out.  Everyone has to eat...while it may take a lot more time than you are used to to prep all the healthy meals and snacks, it's worth it and it is worth the time investing in yourself.  Speaking of...

{TWO}

You're a busy mom, but you are worth the investment.

Mom guilt.

Something we all have.  Whether you work at home, work out of the home, or you stay at home....everyone has a little bit of it every now and then.  I'm not going to lie, that guilt is one of the main reasons I just never worked out or find the time to do it.  I just felt like it was somehow selfish of me to take time out of the day that already has so little hours in it to spend with my kids to work out.  Like I'm already away from them for 9 hours, if not more.

But guess what?  When I found a time that worked for me (in the early morning) that I didn't feel guilty...it stuck.  And it made me happy.  It makes me happy that I dedicate time to myself.  And on the weekends, I don't feel guilty if I am working out for 30 minutes while Jimmy is down playing with the kids.  I have more energy, a better attitude and am a better mom because of that time - which makes it way better to be my child, I promise!

{THREE}

Energy.  Having it makes things so much better.

I cannot stress this one enough.  Before I started working out and eating healthy, I literally was falling asleep at like 7:30PM every night after I put the kiddos down and got only a few things done.

Even getting up early, I am not exhausted every night.  I need less caffeine to make it through the day also.  It's so counter intuitive, but so true.  And the more energy?  Well everyone likes a lady with more energy - her kids, her husband, her friends and co-workers!

{FOUR}

There will be good days...and there will be bad days.

And after those bad days, you can always start over.  Tomorrow will come and that can serve as a fresh start.  I think before this adjustment to my life, I would try to be so strict with my diet and working out that the minute I messed up or ate something not-so-healthy, I would just give up entirely and figure I ruined the whole thing.

So not the case.  What I love about this program is that it's not just designed for 21 days of it...it's designed to facilitate a lifestyle change.  And in life...you can mess up.  You make mistakes.  But everyone was just so encouraging to each other in my challenge groups and you realize that other people make mistakes too - but you can keep on going together.

{FIVE}

There is no greater feeling than feeling good about yourself.

 This was not about weight loss to me.  This was not about getting a six pack.

I wanted to lose the baby weight I gained and fit into all my clothes again.  Some of which I haven't worn or fit comfortably into since before Charlie was born.  He's almost 3 years old people!

But now many of my jeans are too big - it's crazy!  I can wear my shirts and not feel self conscious.  I feel great.  I feel like I look great and just how I should.  I'm not too skinny at all - just right.  My comfortable weight.  That six pack?  Well - it for sure doesn't look like it did when I was in high school, but I'm proud of my body.  I'm proud of all the things I have done with it and the two beautiful babies that it made.  It has transformed and been through so much over these last 3 years...but my body has been good to me.  And I feel like getting into this healthy lifestyle and exercising and gaining muscle definition and fueling it with healthy food - I'm rewarding my body for all the things it has done for me and preparing it for more.

And the first time you try on shorts in a dressing room in a size that you think might be too small...and the size is way too big (OH MY) but you always love the way your legs look - that is a feeling I never want to forget.  I feel strong.  I feel proud.  I feel healthy.

And for fun - a work out selfie that I took for one of my challenge groups.

My coach during this journey, Ruth, constantly has challenge groups - so if you are interested, you can find her on facebook here or instagram here, but I'm also excited that my good friend, Lauren, is going to be a Beachbody coach now and her first challenge group is starting on Monday.  I cannot wait to be a part of it and encourage her and my other friends that are doing this challenge with me.

I'm super happy with the way my body looks now, but I am interested to see what happens when I stop nursing (within the next month) and am burning less calories...but I'm confident that if I keep working out an don't go overboard on my sweet treats that this is my new normal and I love it.  Oh yeah - I didn't mention that before, but I did all this while still breastfeeding AND maintaining my supply.  I really think that all the healthy eating helped a lot!!

So there you have it - my 21 day fix journey that has turned into a now 4 month journey and new way of life.  I haven't taken a good "after" picture lately - but really, if you are starting this you NEED to take pictures and measurements.  Because the scale is not everything - I learned that, especially in the beginning. I loved seeing the pictures and seeing the progress and seeing how many inches I lost - things I didn't even think about before I started.

I'm not going to lie - I was super hesitant to share this, but you know what - I'm proud of what I've accomplished and the new mentality and lifestyle that I've started and if someone needs a little bit of encouragement out there - this is it!!  You can do it!

I will do another post of my favorite snacks and recipes too - because that makes it easy for me to share with others when they ask me for my favorites.

Happy Friday friends and thanks for reading and putting up with my sports bra pictures! Ha!

THANK GOODNESS it's Friday - five things

I really am in shock it's finally Friday.

Because I thought that this week was crazy as of Tuesday...but I had no idea.  Another trip to the doctor's office....another kid with an ear infection (apparently the one she had just two weeks ago never fully healed, poor thing)...and more medicine.  And it was 12 degrees this morning.  EH.

Ready for spring?  Yes.  Me TOO.

So a simple list of five random things/thoughts from this week.

{ONE}

Not kidding - even when they are sick and we are having a rough week  - they are my favorites in the world.  Always making me smile and realizing how overwhelming and wonderful love can be!!!

{TWO}

Um - do you use EOS chap stick??  I do and I love it.  But literally last week I opened it up and noticed black stuff around the edges.  I thought it was weird/gross but didn't think much of it.

And then I saw THIS on Facebook.

OMG - I am going to puke.  Has this happened to anyone else?  I'm so disappointed because I *used to* love this chap stick.

{THREE}

Ok, I was googling a blog that I follow and love and like the second google listing was this website:

Have you ever in your life seen this?  I was literally in shock.  It's a website that has forums and threads about bloggers and people just talk about if they like them or hate them.

FOR REAL?

People are just awful!!  And seriously, who in the world has time to write all these comments AND all these people that they don't like's blogs.  I mean if you don't like what they have to say on their blog - just don't read it!!!!!!!!!!  (I would hope if you don't like my blog, you just don't read it...)

{FOUR}

Since I was up with Maddie lots this week at night, I started pinning fun stuff for her birthday party.  Yes, I know, very premature since she will only be 8 months old this week - but I ran out of stuff to look at online and stay awake while nursing her.  So I decided to do something fun.

I am thinking of going with the "Our little firecracker" theme because her birthday is Fourth of July and I thought it would be a fun pre-actual holiday celebration during her birthday party (we will have her party likely the weekend before since most people travel that long weekend!!).

I love it already.

Source

And as her personality emerges - the theme fits her well because she is quite the little firecracker!!

{FIVE}

Guess what I ordered this week??

21 day fix EXTREME.  Oh my.

After 2 rounds of the 21 day fix completed (the first I was SUPER strict, the second I was great about working out but a little more forgiving on my food) - I am a different person.  I'm not just saying that. I love working out and eating healthy now because I just feel so good when I do.  It's pretty crazy but like they say how it takes 21 days to make something a habit - they are right.

I'll be posting my before and after pictures next week and my final results.  Well - as long as I get the courage to do that - but really it's not about losing the baby weight or extra inches because the most important thing is just how strong and healthy I feel.  I have more energy to play with my babies, spend time with my husband and family and just enjoy life.  Worth it to me for sure.

Five on Friday - 21 day fix favorites meals

It's freaking Friday.

And do I post ANYTHING but five on Fridays??  Yes - yes I do.  I will.

I promise.  Soon.

Join the link up too with Darci, April, Natasha and Christina.

I love how I posted last week I couldn't wait for MLK day to have a solo mom day.  That was a joke - I ended up working all day besides a trip mid day for lunch with my family.  However, I had a much smoother Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday since I did work - so it was worth it.  Just tired!!!

Jimmy and I are on the homestretch of our 21 day fix.  We have 2 days left...of our first round.  Yep, you heard me.  I really really liked it and I have a good friend that is doing it this time and I wanted to do it again for (a) more results and (b) to do it with her - because everyone knows accountability is KEY!  With that said - this week I'm sharing 5 of our favorite 21 day fix recipes that we have loved and will keep eating!!!!!

(Learn more about the 21 day fix here)

{ONE}

My goal was to not having us eating chicken for every meal.  Because (1) Jimmy doesn't like chicken and (2) that's what everyone always associates dieting with.  Since this is really a lifestyle change - I made it a priority to not flood our menu with chicken.  So ground turkey it was! Ha!  Or lean ground beef too.  There were a few of our favorite dinner recipes:

 Stuffed Peppers

And I love me some crockpot cooking.  This was delicious!

{TWO}

Now I'm kind of skipping around here...but TREATS.  The best thing about this program is you do get to have chocolate and wine (OMG!).  This was an AMAZING...I repeat AMAZING...treat for me.  I actually crave this instead of endless amounts of cookies (well until Girl Scout cookies arrive, right?).  It's so easy too!!  (I now by plain Greek yogurt from Costco for my cooking and treats - FYI)

(recipe is mid way through the post)

And for another late night snack (Jimmy and I did one morning, afternoon and after dinner snacks for our meal planning) - this hit the spot!  Frozen grapes = delicious.  Even if you are not on or interested in the 21 day fix - try this.  It's so good and while not equal to candy (I have quite the sweet tooth), it did help me not snack on 15,000 gummy bears that we were giving as treats for potty training!

{THREE}

Breakfast.  Oh breakfast.  Who has time for that?

Ha.  I am usually downstairs with both kids and then out the door in like 15 minutes from when I get down there - that 15 minutes I am getting Charlie's breakfast ready, helping to get their bags ready, packing all my bags (we pack our meals + snacks the night before).  So needless to say, I need breakfast made easy.  I mentioned the first recipe last week...it's so good!!

And then you have these!  They get you one veggie serving - which was great because Jimmy had to eat 5 greens each day, so a great way to start and they were delicious!  I made 24 every Sunday night and packed with onions, green peppers, tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms and YUM.  We each took 4 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  And it made for such an easy morning because I popped them in my bag and took them to work to heat up/eat!

Egg and Veggie muffins

Martin Luther King

 Lunch.  Well - Jimmy and I both have our lunches at worked catered in (me everyday and he does on Tuesday/Thursday - great perk but hard on the waist line!) - so this was the hardest one ever.

Luckily we found this - so so good!!!!!!!!!  I'm not kidding.  It's a combo of everything I love - eggs and avocados.  It's delicious!

Finally - I mentioned the struggle with veggies and not eating baby carrots all day long.  This was a recipe shared in my 21 day fix group and we tried and WOW.  Jimmy said "I thought I hated zucchini but I guess not" - yep, it was that good.

Other things we ate - steak and turkey burgers (made in our Ready Grill - which is amazing!).  Taco lettuce wraps too.  We loved the 100 calorie flatbread wraps from Costco and the sandwich things from there too.  Costco also has a great deal on turkey bacon and the nitrate free turkey.

I am now addicted to Sprouts (a grocery store/farmers market) because they have amazing produce at a great price and my obsession with Aldi has accelerated during this.

Charlie is getting healthier meals (is he eating them? ha - kind of!), but also healthier snacks because we ALWAYS have so many fruit and veggies around.  I tried the sugar snap peas from Costco too and those were a hit for him!!!

Anyways, we have enjoyed the last 21 days.  Had a few cheats here or there, but we are excited to keep up with this healthy nutrition and working out every day!!

I know lots of folks are doing whole 30 too - interested to know the differences, etc!!
