Five things: Bandaids, DIY and end of leave

So it's "officially" fall- but I'm not buying it with these 90 degree temps in KC!!!  Looking forward to next week when it's a HIGH of 70s each day- yes!!!

{ONE}

First things first.  How is September almost over???  But remember about the link up/Instagram posts promoting Noah's bandage project!!!  Even if you can't grab some bandaids or donate- I so appreciate your support in spreading the word about this amazing project and family!! See this post for more details and the image for the link up for next Wednesday!

{TWO}

You know I'm a sucker for DIY projects.  But DIY with all the supplies provided + you can bring your own drinks in...I'm sold!!  A girl I went to college with recently opened the most amazing store called Pink Antlers that I've been dying to go check out.  So when I saw the post about a workshop October 2 where you get to make this adorable double sided sign....

...I immediately asked some neighbor friends if they were interested in going with me!!! And now I'm so excited for a girls afternoon DIY session and for this amazing sign!!!!  And j can't wait to see the whole amazing store!!

{THREE}

 How about some more DIY for super cheap?  I'm SO excited to try out this DIY sign that a friend and other local KC blogger from Baby by Oakley posted earlier this week.  I've had an idea to do a sign with Jimmy's favorite toast about the bar area my dad put in earlier this year but wasn't sure I wanted to spend a ton of money on a personalized one.  So this is just the perfect way to give it a try with some extra scrap wood, chalk and paint pens!!!  Thanks Mackenzie for an awesome tutorial and tip!  Check out her blog post here.

{FOUR}

While we didn't have fall weather this week...we sure pretended with a fire pit (pot) and some smores!  In Iowa last weekend, the house we rented had a fire pit out back and Charlie was just dying for smores.  Even though we didn't get any, Papa held his promise that Charlie would get some!  And be delivered Wednesday night!!  We all enjoyed some yummy smores - but they would have been much better with Reese's instead of just chocolate!  But isn't everything better with peanut butter????!!

These two are crazy!!!

{FIVE}

This guy.  He was two months old this week - which is crazy!!  With the end of the quarter coming and the beginning of another forecast cycle, I'm back to work in just a week and a half, which doesn't seem possible.  We had a minor day care issue--- but I'm so relieved that's resolved and I'm happy to say that Mikey is starting up on October 5, which is the same day I go back to work.

I'm going to miss his ADORABLE face and snuggles and the amazing smiles!!!!! Ugh - he's so awesome!!

Charlie is going to miss the Mikey snuggles and morning silliness!!!  Mikey - likely not so much :)

Me and my babe!!!!!!!

And so are the lazy mornings where I can drink and enjoy coffee and my breakfast with my little man and the Today show.  Such is life.  I am excited to see my coworker's (because they are the best!), but I'm anxious about the morning routine.  I have gotten into good daily workouts and eating healthy and want to continue!!! So I'm kicking off my first challenge group and there are some amazing ladies in it and ready to kick some work out butt starting October 3 (want to join in the fun???  Go here for more details!) Ahhh!!! I can do this!!

We have some fun weekend activities planned and I'm looking forward to my last weekend before my last full week of leave!!! Happy Friday!

Five reasons I'm back at it!

Mikey is two months old on Monday.  I'm not sure how that is possible.  For real. Time flies!!!

One thing I was determined to do after I had this sweet babe was not wait forever to get back to my old self (i.e. the workout habits and healthy eating that I was doing). I was really good at working out this pregnancy and I was floored at the difference it made.  I am not sure why I was so surprised because - DUH - but it really made me feel so much better and less aches and pains.  And I had some bad ones- including pretty bad varicose veins from 18 weeks and on.  So this time around, I didn't wait 6 months (like I did with Maddie) or just never do it before I got pregnant again (like I did after Charlie!).  After I had my six week check up, I went full speed ahead and here's a few reasons why!

{ONE}

I love the way I feel when I work out.  Before we went on our five year anniversary trip in May 2015, I was in really good shape as far as my standards.  And I just felt good.  More energized, I didn't need caffeine for energy and I loved being a little sore after working out because I felt STRONG!!!

Happy and healthy celebrating anniversary #5!

{TWO}

Speaking of strong - the thing I for sure learned when I started working out after I had Maddie was how exercise could make me so toned.  The way I feel about my arms and legs isn't always the best relationship (yeah...I have flabby arms and I'm not a fan of the way my legs looked in shorts).  When I work out I feel like I can wear shorts and tank tops and rock it!!

This was me in May 2015 and I loved how toned my arms looked.  My arms get a LOT of work anyways from holding kids and babies....but I began to love lifting weights so much!  Push ups?  Still not a fan at all.

{THREE}

Stomach issues.  I didn't talk a lot about this when I was pregnant on the blog, but with this pregnancy I had some weird stomach issues going on.  Like enough that my OB sent me to a gastroenterologist for a consult and testing.  I went on a probiotic (no big deal) but also saw a HUGE difference when I didn't eat greasy fried food and lots of dairy.  I love both so much- for real.  Give me some chicken wings and fried pickles and a big beer and yep...my kind of night.  End it with a pot hole cookie dough concrete from Sheridan's even better.  But that night and next day- ugh. Not cool on how I felt.

One of my favorite things is the flexibility in the eating plan.  I like to explore and find something that I love and then usually stick with it.  This has been my go to breakfast these last few weeks (just 2 eggs and then one green container of veggies) and I love it.

Obviously, eating healthier makes me feel better and helps with those stomach issues- so starting now was the perfect time!  Especially still being on maternity leave...I've found once I get in a good habit (21-30 days) it's much easier for me to keep up because I see the positive effects.  I probably wouldn't keep it up if I attempted this right when I went back to work!!  Because yeah, we all know how fun (i.e. Completely CRAZY) life is when you head back to work after leave. Talk about a reality check!

{FOUR}

Am I allowed to say it's FUN?!! Ha.  I decided to start off my post pregnancy work outs with the new country heat work out program from Beachbody and seriously it's SO MUCH FUN.  I'm almost a full 2 weeks in and have done 4 of the routines and I'm obsessed.  I love the music (I'm a country music fan so duh...), but I'm amazed how Autumn made up these dance moves that are like jumping squats that I do and love.  I guess it's amazing how your mind can trick you when you think you're "just" dancing!

But they are 30 minute or less work outs and Mikey seems to be mystified by the videos.  Sometimes he sleeps through them and sometimes he doesn't.  Sometimes I push pause and stop to rock him like 4 times...but I still finish (what I love about working out at home).  Anything more than 30 minutes I just can't do, especially in the long term.  When I go back to work, life is going to be insane (obviously...), so hopefully I can squeeze them in before work.  We will see!  But so far I'm seriously seeing amazing results in such a short amount of time.  From dancing.  And looking ridiculous while doing it.  But having so much fun.  And Mikey gets his tummy time exercises in too!

{FIVE}

And finally- something I never thought I would do.  Ever. But with the amazing results I continue to get with Beachbody programs over the last 4 years of using them and the absolutely amazing community of support and accountability that I've found through the challenge groups...I decided to sign up to be a coach.

Yep you read that right.  But the funny part is, as much as I built signing up in my mind, it's really not that huge of a deal.  I bought a challenge pack of country heat + vegan chocolate shakeology (since I'm nursing and not eating dairy- it's a good option and this is my first time trying it--- it's delicious!) and paid a $40 fee that I was reimbursed for and that's it.  And now I get a 25% discount and the best part??  I can help people.  Nope. I'm not a fitness expert or nutritionist by ANY means.  But you know what I needed more than anything when I started my fitness and healthy eating journey...support, encouragement, resources, direction and accountability.  That's exactly what my coach provided for me and I'm excited to focus more on working out and eating healthy and hopefully helping and inspiring others along the way.  Because guess what?  I get the excuses.  I get that you are busy.  I get that you're stressed and the LAST thing you want to do is work out or eat healthy.  I am too!  But, at least for me, putting minimal effort into these programs gave me some AMAZING results and best of all even more energy than I had before.

I really have no idea what I'm doing...or where to start.  I am coming from a little different place than lots of the others on my team because I love my job and am in no way looking for this as a way to quit working...just something fun to do that can earn some spending money along the way + encourage others.  So instead of spamming my personal social media feeds, which is not my style, I made a blog (that's how I speak...) and a separate Instagram account.

If you are at all interested in my own journey, my tips and tricks and {the best part} my week one country heat results - which I promise you will be shocked - check out my blog at www.yourparadisefitness.com and Instagram handle @yourparadisefitness.  I promise I won't be changing what I blog about here (which is pretty much nothing and everything...), so don't you worry 😉 but these are just ways to follow along if you want to!!!

PS this is really scary for me to post- especially my week one results picture (oh my!)...so don't make fun of me!! I promise I'm not crazy - but I'm excited for my own health journey to continue and hoping to help others get on board with a totally doable way to get healthy too!

Now let's see if I can make some healthy choices on our six hour car ride (that will no doubt turn it at least 8-9 hours with three kids!) to Iowa to visit my grandma.  That's the true test!

Side note- if you haven't noticed from my other posts that Jimmy was out to town all week.  We are all soooo happy to have that guy back that I'm making him promise he will never have to leave again.  Ha!

Happy weekending!!!

NYC bike ride

Oh man.  In the middle of October, I hopped on a plane with a few coworkers and jetted off to NYC.  The reason?  A bike ride around New York sponsored by my company to raise money for Autism Research.  This all came about because I had to go to a meeting either the Friday before or the Monday after the race and then someone was like, why don't' you just ride??

Well - the fact that I have haven't gotten on a bike in literally 7 years might have stopped me...but nope, it didn't.  So I signed up for Wall Street Rides Far, rented a bike and helmet and started fundraising.  The fact that all the money raised from the race benefited the Autism Science Foundation  made it even more special and close to my heart because my nephew, Eli, is autistic and the therapy that he got from wonderful teachers very early on has made a world of difference.  He's pretty amazing if you ask anyone, so I loved what a great cause this was going to (and wanted to raise as much money as i could in his honor!).  So thankful to all my friends and family that donated - it was so awesome.  now I just need to finish my thank you notes to them!

Of course, my intention was to get on a bike at least once, but yeah.  That didn't happen ever.  So the first time I got on my bike was in NY about a minute before I had to race.  I fell off on my first try and hurt my woman parts.  Great start, right?

However, we did get these awesome bike jerseys and had a pretty good time.  As much of a good time you can have riding a bike for FIFTEEN MILES.  Goodness sake.

It was HILLY!  And we made it up most hills, but had to stop and walk up this one!

We were POOPED.  I also forgot to mention that we headed out on Friday night after work and had to connect in STL.  Well, our flight from STL to LGA was delayed (of course) and then getting from the airport to Manhattan was not easy - there was the longest line of cabs and no close Ubers....so we didn't' get to our hotel until around 1AM.  Then got up and drove an hour out of the city to the race...we were tired.  After the race, Comic Con was in town, so there was crazy traffic and it took us 2 hours to get back into the city and to our hotel.  As great as NYC is, that in itself made me so happy I don't live there!  Was so frustrating!!

We thought about napping, but decided against it and Megan and I headed on the first subway ride of the trip over to Jill's apartment (our friend that we rode with that works in our NY office).

Jill made us reservations at The Smith and it was SOOO good.  Oh my.

We got a little bit of everything and shared.  Steak salad, mac and cheese and gnocchi.  YUM!

Then made a stop at the oldest bar in NYC!  They only have two drink choices: light or dark beer.  That's it!

We went to a few more bars and then decided to make our way to Times Square.  The other three people I was with from KC had never been to NY before and while I was so tired and just wanted to go back to the hotel and sleep (not to mention we were all so sore!!!), I sucked it up and went with them to see the sights again.

And of course I had to get a picture with some of Charlie's favorites.  But then they demanded I tip them and made me feel bad for not giving them enough.  Psssh.

We did make a stop to visit our competitor, Nasdaq.

It was LATE and on the subway home I fell asleep.

After sleeping in until 9 (heavenly and much needed!), Megan and I headed to take a ferry across the Hudson River to Brooklyn.

Then we met up with our friends and went to Smorgaburg, which was like a huge food vendors all in one place in Prospect Park.  OMG.  So good.

Yes, all those things in the above right picture were for me.  Once in a lifetime, right?
(Shrimp taco, Cheese curds with truffle sauce, mexican street corn and finally...an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie with sea salt, vanilla ice cream and hot fudge....YUM)

Then we walked across the Brooklyn bridge, which was crazy but fun.  The bikers across it were crazy.

After that, we parted ways and I headed to explore the city a little more on my own.  Got my kids some little cars from a street vendor and of course on my way back to the hotel, made a stop on Wall Street and to NYSE.

I grabbed some sushi to go and sat in my hotel room catching up on work and watching Sunday night shows (ps - east coast time is SO hard to watch shoes because it's so late!).  Megan and I decided to save our company money and just shared a room, but she and Jill went to the Giants football game that night so it was fun to get a little alone time!!

Then next day, the three of us headed to our NY office (a first visit for all of us).  And pretty much what everyone said is true.  The view is unbelievable.  Literally stare right at the statue of liberty.  Pretty much our office in Lenexa is mincemeat compared to the NY view and the London view (that looks at the Tower Bridge on the Thames river in London).

After my meeting and some work, I headed to the airport and couldn't believe the comeback the Royals made (I was watching with some girls on my flight).  Insane!!

The next morning, these two were excited to see me and the feeling was mutual!  (if you cannot tell, Charlie just really liked the police car/taxi cab I got them too!)

It was a fun weekend in NY (and I burned a LOT of calories with the bike ride and walking - it was insane, as I track all that on my Apple watch), but it always feels so good to get home.  Like I always say, visiting cities is amazing.  There is nothing like a big city and the commute and the people and the energy.  But then when I land back in Kansas City and get in my minivan and drive home- I just couldn't love my life more!

Skinny Mom Resident Mom!

Guess what?  I am part of a cool program through the website Skinnymom.com.  I'm was thrilled to be chosen to write for them a few articles here and there - so I will keep you up to date on that.

In the mean time, you have heard me rave a bit about how effective my at home work outs have been  since January - and here are some of the reasons why I choose to workout at home.

Enjoy!

meal plan + T-25 workout

All right - this week, I"m on top of meal planning.  After church yesterday, Charlie and I headed to our weekly trip (just us) to Aldi and got LOTS of fruits and veggies again.  I cut and cleaned them all and put them in tupperware, ready for the week.  It's so nice to have it accessible in the fridge, so I tend to pull that out for me and the kid's snacks.  Just for organization's sake, I'm going to link up again with Colleen from Meet the Sullivan's

~ Monday ~

Creamy Baked Chicken Taquitos (remaining 1/2 from Hy-Vee Freezer meals)
Brown Rice
Black beans (Maddie's FAVORITE!)

~ Tuesday ~

Honey Chiptole Chicken tenders (another Hy-Vee Freezer meal)
These are on the grill, and since our grill master doesn't have practice on Tuesday's - this is our grilling night lately!

~Wednesday~

Thai Chicken with Sesame noodles (yet another Hy-Vee Freezer meal)
I know, I know.  But I haven't used hardly any of them and there is already another one in a week - so I need to use them and eat these yummy meals.  This one sounds awesome.

The best part about it?  They give you the recipes too, so if you and your family love it - you can easily make it yourself.  none of them are too hard either.

~Thursday~

Stuff shells (getting a theme this week - use the freezer stash?)
I AM going to pick up some things from Hy-Vee's $3 online pick up ordering and get the big shells to make this.

~Friday~

Wedding for a former co-worker for Jimmy and I and our kiddos are having a slumber party with Nana and Papa!!!

~Saturday~

Playing this by ear - have a 3 year old birthday party on Saturday afternoon and possibly another bday party on Saturday night.  So we'll likely pick something up.

We are finally starting to get in a routine with Jimmy's weekly practices.  These past few weeks though, I feel like I have had things that were already scheduled (pre him coaching and knowing that schedule), so I've relied on my parents as baby sitters more than I'd like.  So I'm looking forward to a quiet week this week!

Lots going on at work, but I got back into working out and am loving my new workout videos.  I bought T-25 right after I had Maddie and when I started to do those is when my foot started hurting a lot - and then I ended up getting surgery.  After surgery, T-25 was too much for me because it is quite a bit of jumping,..but now after doing all the 21 day fix videos for 6 months, I'm good to go and really loving Shaun T and the videos!!!!  I hate that I didn't work out for a while so I feel like I'm starting back over - but it's all about mentality so you have to start somewhere!

Hope you had a great weekend!!  I'm trying to make each Monday a good one!

Five on Friday: my 21 day fix results

Here is goes.  My 21 day fix results on this Friday.

The best part is?  It didn't stop at 21 days.  Nope - I have kept it up almost everyday since the beginning of January.  And I'm damn proud of it!  For many reasons, but I also had not worked out since before I had Charlie.  BEFORE CHARLIE.  I cannot even remember life before that because it seems so long ago, but I have been pregnant or breastfeeding for the last 3.5 years and like no consistent working out that whole time.  Talk about intimidating to start something like this.

I talked about the 21 day fix and even shared some of my recipes that were my favorite throughout the whole process at the end of my first 21 day round.  You can find that here.

These are the before and after pictures from that round.  My first round.  21 days of working out in my closet (weird I know, but I have a big closet...) in the mornings before work/my kids get up.

It wasn't easy at ALL.  Getting up EVERY day to work out was hard.  Especially when I had my 6 month old still waking up at least once a night and a few more time most nights.  My alarm would go off at 4:59 and I would cringe.  It was horrible.  I was sore and tired and just didn't want to do it.  On top of that, when I started this on January 3 - I had just had surgery on my foot to take out a neuroma (apparently a growth on the nerve), so my nerve between my third and fourth toe was cut out completely.  I was cleared to work out, but wasn't sure how I would feel.  But I was determined to not have ONE more excuse.  I felt like I had an excuse month after month and wasn't going to let that stop me this time.

 What kept me motivated?  Honestly, it was the challenge group I was in on facebook.  The ladies in that group were amazing and so motivating to each other.  I knew that other people were just as tired and just as sore - but I knew they were getting up too, so I did it.  And I was so happy to report to my group that I did.  Oh and I can't forget to mention my in house accountability partner - Jimmy.  He is not a veggie guy at all, but went with me on this and ate whatever I prepared and stuck to the meal plans and containers himself.  On the weekends, we always ask when each other plans on working out and we hold each other to it as well - as that is harder because we don't like to get up early!  He's pretty great.  Pretty amazing how accountability works, right?

The eating part.  Well - that was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be.

I'm not going to lie - it's COMPLETELY overwhelming at first.  You get these random colored containers and a booklet to explain them to you.  They tell you how many they recommend for effective weight loss and that's it.  I wanted more - like "tell me exactly what to eat and when".  But since that was non-existent, I took to Pinterest and the Internet to look for some good 21 day fix recipes.  The main thing is, no salt and not sugar (with a few cheats allowed - wine and chocolate, which is awesome!).  I also made a spreadahseet - because Excel is my love language.

What I learned in those 21 days about eating?  There is NO need to constantly restrict myself.  I really was rarely ever hungry - I swear.  But I was fueling myself with healthy food.  Choosing an apple and peanut butter as a snack versus a handful of potato chips.  I was making healthy (and delicious) meals for my family.  I learned how to use spices and seasonings that are good for you (did I mention vanilla flavoring and cinnamon are my best friend now?).

My husband and 2.5 year old started eating vegetables.

Yes, go ahead and re-read that.  That might just be worth the whole pain of it all.

But what made it successful?  I planned.  I planned.  I planned.  Meal planned to be exact.  I had the first 2 weeks laid out exactly for every meal and snack that Jimmy and I were having (he was doing the eating part with me and working out alone).  It was kind of crazy, but that is what made it work for us because I had healthy snacks at my fingertips during the day.  Both of our works actually cater in lunch and yep - we both took our lunch everyday instead to ensure we had the most healthy.

I didn't like all the prep work.  At all.  But it was worth it.

My before pictures at the very beginning of my 21 day journey and my after at the end of 21 days:

I especially like how you can see my abs in the picture on the right.

And from inches - guess how many inches I lost in total on my body?  19.  NINETEEN.

Like seriously?  Yes - from my stomach, my legs, my hips, my arms.  It was amazing how it just fell off.  Keep in mind though - I also had a 6 month old and gained 40lbs during that pregnancy, so I had plenty to go.  My ultimate goal was to lose 10lbs and just get back to where I was pre-baby.  But when I lost 11, I just wanted to see how much I was capable of.

And I'm happy to report - that as of this morning (over 4 months into my journey) - I have lost 20lbs.  I'm 10lbs lighter than I was when I got pregnant with Maddie and it's crazy to me.  Crazy that I did this - my hard work and dedication to it really did pay off.  And it feels so good.  I feel so good.  In so many ways.  So that's what I wanted to do for my five on Friday - five things I have learned/enjoyed in the last 4 months of this journey.

{ONE}

You do have the time.

I promise - I didn't think it was possible.  I mean WHEN in the world am I supposed to work out???  I work full time from 7:30-4 everyday.  Love that I get off at 4 to pick up my kiddos and spend time with them before it's their bed time, but then after they are in bed, I spend time cleaning the house, doing laundry...oh yeah, and watching TV.  So no time for that.

I did start trying to work out after I put my kiddos to bed, but that didn't work for me because some nights I have dinner with friends, meetings at church, etc.  I didn't like that I couldn't work out at a consistent time - so I decided the mornings it is.  And I make time and make myself get up.

Everyone has 30 minutes in most of their days to work out.  Everyone has to eat...while it may take a lot more time than you are used to to prep all the healthy meals and snacks, it's worth it and it is worth the time investing in yourself.  Speaking of...

{TWO}

You're a busy mom, but you are worth the investment.

Mom guilt.

Something we all have.  Whether you work at home, work out of the home, or you stay at home....everyone has a little bit of it every now and then.  I'm not going to lie, that guilt is one of the main reasons I just never worked out or find the time to do it.  I just felt like it was somehow selfish of me to take time out of the day that already has so little hours in it to spend with my kids to work out.  Like I'm already away from them for 9 hours, if not more.

But guess what?  When I found a time that worked for me (in the early morning) that I didn't feel guilty...it stuck.  And it made me happy.  It makes me happy that I dedicate time to myself.  And on the weekends, I don't feel guilty if I am working out for 30 minutes while Jimmy is down playing with the kids.  I have more energy, a better attitude and am a better mom because of that time - which makes it way better to be my child, I promise!

{THREE}

Energy.  Having it makes things so much better.

I cannot stress this one enough.  Before I started working out and eating healthy, I literally was falling asleep at like 7:30PM every night after I put the kiddos down and got only a few things done.

Even getting up early, I am not exhausted every night.  I need less caffeine to make it through the day also.  It's so counter intuitive, but so true.  And the more energy?  Well everyone likes a lady with more energy - her kids, her husband, her friends and co-workers!

{FOUR}

There will be good days...and there will be bad days.

And after those bad days, you can always start over.  Tomorrow will come and that can serve as a fresh start.  I think before this adjustment to my life, I would try to be so strict with my diet and working out that the minute I messed up or ate something not-so-healthy, I would just give up entirely and figure I ruined the whole thing.

So not the case.  What I love about this program is that it's not just designed for 21 days of it...it's designed to facilitate a lifestyle change.  And in life...you can mess up.  You make mistakes.  But everyone was just so encouraging to each other in my challenge groups and you realize that other people make mistakes too - but you can keep on going together.

{FIVE}

There is no greater feeling than feeling good about yourself.

 This was not about weight loss to me.  This was not about getting a six pack.

I wanted to lose the baby weight I gained and fit into all my clothes again.  Some of which I haven't worn or fit comfortably into since before Charlie was born.  He's almost 3 years old people!

But now many of my jeans are too big - it's crazy!  I can wear my shirts and not feel self conscious.  I feel great.  I feel like I look great and just how I should.  I'm not too skinny at all - just right.  My comfortable weight.  That six pack?  Well - it for sure doesn't look like it did when I was in high school, but I'm proud of my body.  I'm proud of all the things I have done with it and the two beautiful babies that it made.  It has transformed and been through so much over these last 3 years...but my body has been good to me.  And I feel like getting into this healthy lifestyle and exercising and gaining muscle definition and fueling it with healthy food - I'm rewarding my body for all the things it has done for me and preparing it for more.

And the first time you try on shorts in a dressing room in a size that you think might be too small...and the size is way too big (OH MY) but you always love the way your legs look - that is a feeling I never want to forget.  I feel strong.  I feel proud.  I feel healthy.

And for fun - a work out selfie that I took for one of my challenge groups.

My coach during this journey, Ruth, constantly has challenge groups - so if you are interested, you can find her on facebook here or instagram here, but I'm also excited that my good friend, Lauren, is going to be a Beachbody coach now and her first challenge group is starting on Monday.  I cannot wait to be a part of it and encourage her and my other friends that are doing this challenge with me.

I'm super happy with the way my body looks now, but I am interested to see what happens when I stop nursing (within the next month) and am burning less calories...but I'm confident that if I keep working out an don't go overboard on my sweet treats that this is my new normal and I love it.  Oh yeah - I didn't mention that before, but I did all this while still breastfeeding AND maintaining my supply.  I really think that all the healthy eating helped a lot!!

So there you have it - my 21 day fix journey that has turned into a now 4 month journey and new way of life.  I haven't taken a good "after" picture lately - but really, if you are starting this you NEED to take pictures and measurements.  Because the scale is not everything - I learned that, especially in the beginning. I loved seeing the pictures and seeing the progress and seeing how many inches I lost - things I didn't even think about before I started.

I'm not going to lie - I was super hesitant to share this, but you know what - I'm proud of what I've accomplished and the new mentality and lifestyle that I've started and if someone needs a little bit of encouragement out there - this is it!!  You can do it!

I will do another post of my favorite snacks and recipes too - because that makes it easy for me to share with others when they ask me for my favorites.

Happy Friday friends and thanks for reading and putting up with my sports bra pictures! Ha!
