Where does the time go? 22 already!

Can you believe it's been a year already since my sister turned 21 and Vanessa and Chris got married? WOW!! Looking back on these posts makes me realize how fast time flies!!! Now Lyndsay is turning 22 and the Calcara's already hit their one year anniversary on November 20!!!!!! Love it!! What a fun day their wedding was!!

Just a reminder of that day...me and the beautiful bride!!

With that said---my baby sister is not a baby anymore! She is 22, getting ready to graduated from college in May, has a dog, boyfriend, and is a woman :) Yep, sorry mom and dad, it's true! She's the best friend and sister a girl could ask for!!

She's there for me when I need her the most, especially when it is super super important, like making sure your veil comes out of your hair just right on your wedding day.....

And is right along with me with in the sick obsession with Taylor Swift :)

And she is always willing to give me something to make me "feel better" aka, not want to function in the morning! But oh do we have fun :)

And from even the very beginning, we shared a great sense of style....and some great legs :)

But, best of all, she is just an all around wonderful person that has such a caring heart! I'm so proud of her and how hard she has worked and how successful she is :) She spends ENDLESS hours volunteering her time to help the community and it's really amazing how much of an impact her efforts make! I cannot wait to see the great things that are to come in her life...

So cheers to another birthday for my wonderful sister! Can't wait to spend a week in Florida very soon with these guys....and Barb and Roger!!

Famous friends!!!

Remember THIS post about Vanessa being a blog star?? And how unbelieveably exciting that was? Well, if you thought that was fun...just wait until you read this. All you need to do to see it yourself is go to your local grocery store (if you live in the midwest) and pick up your own copy of The Knot magazine...why?? Because Vanessa is featured in a beautiful full page picture in her wedding dress talking about the vintage details she brought into her awesome style for her big day!!! Here are some teaser pictures from my own copy :) SOOO exciting and SOOO gorgeous!! Yeah for famous friends!!!!!!!

I went and picked myself up a copy last night. And drooled over it. And left it open so Jimmy could see it when he got home. I'm not obsessed, just a proud/excited friend!!

Vanessa had the most lovely wedding day and it's featured on Classic Bride today!!! OMG!

Erica brought it to my attention this morning and I'm sosososososo excited and while not surprised at all, that her beautiful pictures of their perfect day made it to the wedding blog world!!!!!!!!!!! AHHH! Freaking out right now!!

Yeah Vanessa, you and Chris are officially famous in my world now :)

I hear WEDDING BELLS

It's finally here!  In less than 3 hours (yes I'm off work today but up @ 7:30AM blogging- don't ask haha), the wedding events for the Gower/Calcara wedding commence.  I can't WAIT and am so excited that it's here!  Which I'm sure the bride is as well :)  

The organized bride sent out earlier this week the wedding timeline entitled "I Do To Dos" (so cute!!) with hour by hour of all the events that are taking place.  We have a bridesmaid brunch, trip to the nail salon (with lots of chatting as well), then the rehearsal when it will become oh so real to see her walking down that aisle!  Friday kicks off around 9AM, with the ceremony at 6:30PM with the reception at beautiful Mildale Farm following!!  So fun!

It's so exciting that it's finally here- it seemed like it would never really happen, I mean I knew it would but all the conversations about colors, timing, layout, planning that she has had---all done!  Now time to CELEBRATE.  And by 7PM tonight she will officially have forfeited her Gower namesake to become a Calcara and we all couldn't be more excited!!
