Yesterday marked a HUGE day in Kansas City - the start of the Royals season as the reigning world champions of course! I'm pretty sure the whole town was dressed in blue - and lots of people were wearing their Royals gear to church too - which made me happy because, yep, that's exactly what we wore too!
Of course we couldn't miss out on such a fun link up and a chance to take some pictures of our adorable kids and attempt to make them sit together and smile (always easier said than done!)
Then my little twin took advantage of the sour gummy worms she was bribed with to smile for above picture and sit on my lap and take some selfies with me...in which we mimicked my every move.
I just love her.
We had so much fun last season celebrating our boys in blue and seeing them win the World Series for the first time in 30 years (last time they won was 1985 when I was born!).
And funny story - Jimmy and I were sitting in bed watching the game in bed last night and he goes - how weird is it that the last time we watched the Royal's play they won the World Series and we weren't pregnant. Then they won and here we are watching them again and having another baby. Ok, ok, yes Jimmy, I get we are having a #worldseriesbaby thanks for reminding me!
It was perfect weather in KC too on Sunday - so we were jealous of everyone out at the K! Hoping to get out there a few times before it gets SUPER hot and this pregnant mama cannot take it!
Linking up with all these lovely ladies!
Best yet- the royals beat the Mets last night!!!
Such sweet photos!
ReplyDeleteLOL - I love that you're having a World Series Baby!!
While we watched the game last night, I bet I said no less than 10 times, "I wish we were at the K right now."
Happy Opening Day!!
A World Series baby....LOL! I wonder if there's an increase in KC babies this summer because of that? Your pictures are adorable! Yay for both kids looking AND smiling!
ReplyDeleteUmmmm - there were last year!! So I'm terrified how busy the hospital will be this year :) I even talked to my doctor about it to see if I should deliver at Menorah instead in case Shawnee Mission would be too full!
DeleteMy goodness, so many KC fans! Love those sweet littles of yours! Can't wait to see that little #worldseriesbaby!
ReplyDeleteI know I have loved seeing all the KC fans! Maybe it's the world series champs or maybe now people are just excited to tell everyone they love the Royals now! And I can't wait to meet this little world series baby either!
DeleteWorld Series baby for the win!! We went to a game last year when I was super pregnant and it was super hot...every time I went up/down the stairs I thought I was either going to die or go into labor. Neither happened thankfully ;) I love Maddie's jeans...so stylish!
ReplyDeleteOh man - I feel like every time I go to the Royals games I'm always pregnant or pumping - lol! But not last year during the playoff games! So fun! And yes, so glad you didn't go into labor at the K - haha! But it would have made for a good story too :) And thanks - honestly, Jimmy seriously buys all Maddie's clothes! It's hilarious!
DeleteSuch cute photos! We aren't big baseball fans here but... when we watch we cheer for the hometeam, the Reds.
ReplyDeleteSO cute!!! And how funny! In 2011, we were watching the World Series (even though the Angels weren't playing) and then in July 2012... a baby was born! So I guess you could call Mason a world series baby too!
ReplyDeleteWe are Royals fans too!
