Seriously, have I mentioned that the second trimester is just the best? And while getting big is sometimes not-so-fun, I'm still small enough to put my shoes on, so I'm living it up!!
How Far Along? 19 weeks
Size of Baby: Size of a bell pepper now.
Gender: Next Wednesday. Pretty crazy and cannot wait!
Weight Gain: Ha - my friend Emily commented it was amazing I only had gained 7.5 lbs and then I started questioning my scale. Well - I must have taken that weight on a GREAT day because I just took it yesterday and I'm up 10. Which means I either gained a 2.5lbs in one week or I was wrong. Let's go with the latter and forget about all the El Fudge cookies I ate.
Maternity Clothes: Oh yes. Man - I even have a pair of jeans that are way to small or way too tight (well, both). I literally thought I was going to throw up sitting at work. So glad I bought bigger pants!!!
Nursery: Guess what?! Jimmy is painting this weekend. I'm excited to see it!!
Movement: Best movement of the week was waking up to baby kicking on Valentine's Day morning and tell Jimmy to hurry and give me his hand and he got to feel lit. I love that part and getting to share it with him.
Symptoms: Feeling good still!
Cravings: Nothing much really! I feel like I want ice cream all the time, but we never get it. Boo.
What I Miss: Lunch meat. The deli sandwiches they bring into work look really good! Not the biggest fan of chicken salad.
Best Moment This Week: On Valentine's Day night the three of us were just hanging out in the family room and Charlie kept touching my belly. We have been trying to get him to somewhat understand there is a baby in mom's belly. And I told him to say "hi baby" and plain as day he says "HI BABY" then smiles and grabs my stomach, hugs it, and lays his head on my stomach. I literally teared up and almost started crying. What a sweetheart. Going to be such a good big brother!
Panic Moment This Week: We got to visit Ben and Julia's sweet baby Jack this week and it wasn't a "panic moment" but holding a newborn (versus a toddler) is so different! Jimmy and I left and went to grab a quick dinner together and were like - are we going to remember how to do this!?? AHH! (but Jack was so so sweet it ale made me excited for baby snuggles again!)
Looking Forward To: WEDNESDAY! Life changing news here folks!
Haha, I have that same panic moment just about every week! Since Hadley's 4 and half it's been quite a while!!
ReplyDeleteOh second trimester was definitely my favorite! I felt totally normal, aside from the growing belly :)
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable! This is such an exciting time!! Can't wait to follow the rest of your journey and find out what you're having :)
