Showering the future Mrs. Hart

Remember these two??  Well can you believe that it's almost time for them to tie the knot?  Yep - almost to the two month countdown to July 14 and their big day!

So as the countdown gets shorter - that means that wedding events are in full swing!!  First up: wedding shower for her!  It was a blast and hosted by all of her wonderful bridesmaids.  With a last minute venue change, we ended up at the pool house at Falcon Ridge and it was a perfect venue for the shower.  Very beautiful and the perfect amount of space!

Guests were welcomed in the entry way with some pictures and anniversary cards.  This was a great idea that one of the bridesmaids, Miranda, thought of and I jumped on top of because it involved cards - and I love cards.  Everyone got one for 30 years of marriage, filled it out and then we put it in a bag for Lauren and David to keep for the next 30 years....pretty fun!

And these were the favors that were twizzlers because, those are Lauren's favorite!

Check out this space!  So pretty and Megan, another bridesmaid, did a FANTASTIC job with decorating all the tables.  Oh my goodness - the beautiful flower centerpieces, table clothes, plates, etc.  It looked so beautiful!  We were blown away when we walked in!

And look at this beautiful tree with vases and real flowers on it.  I know Megan was frustrated with it because she couldn't get the flower just perfect -but I think it looked amazing!!

And check out all these appetizers.  YUM.  Veggie pizza (again I made this haha), corn dip and salsa, tomatoes and mozzarella, fruit dip and fruit....

And then to the desserts and the yummy stuff.  This cake.  Was going to get Lauren a CostCo cake, but after having the chantilly cake from Whole Foods the previous week at Emily's shower, I knew this was what we had to get Lauren because she freaking loves cake.  So I picked up a small sheet cake from there and it was so freaking delicious!

And some delicious sweets that Megan made - SO good!

To top it off we had some sangria and party punch.  The punch was pina colada concentrate, orange pineapple concentrate, two liters of diet sprite, Sonic ice and some frozen raspberries!  It was pretty freaking delicious!!

And we sure did shower Lauren and David with some amazing presents and things that they need!!!

Oh and the game.  Well - we had a video planned, but with the last minute change of venue, there wasn't a TV available for us to show the video....sooo....in come the mustaches and tiaras game that Vanessa planned the previous week for Emily's shower.  Thank V for letting us use these again!!!  It was just as fun!!

We had a great time and there were lots of Lauren's family and friends that were able to come and it was so great.  Even got to meet her 2nd cousin's new little baby girl that was SO cute and so little!!  She was born 3 weeks early and was under 6lbs still - oh my goodness, couldn't get enough of her!!  It was so nice to see Lauren's grandma, mom, aunts and cousins.  Looking forward to seeing them again in just a few months (and some in a month).

It was pouring down rain when we were getting everything in and out for the shower - so I will say my hair just looks fabulous.  But really that doesn't matter, because Lauren looked gorgeous!!  Had to get a picture of me, Lauren and Katie!!

And then one of all the bridesmaids - Megan, Katie, bride: Lauren, me, and Miranda!  Cannot wait for June 2 - which is the bachelorette party!!!!!  Wahoo!!

Couldn't be more excited for David and Lauren!!!  The shower was a blast and it was so great to see everyone!!!!  Cheers!
