A snowy Friday!

Here's to another Friday in the books.  Linking up with Darci and friends for a quick Five on Friday.

So...I follow this blog and I love it.  Money Saving Mom.

When I saw her book come out, I knew I wanted it.  Ask and you shall receive I guess?  Because I told Jimmy it was what I wanted for Valentine's Day and he sent it right to my kindle.  He did say it was a little odd for him to be buying me something to calm down my hectic life for a day of love, but oh well.  I appreciated it!  And am exited to get to reading it.

Buy it here

I finally got around on Friday night to figuring out the best way to hang all the pictures in the gallery wall actually ON the wall.  Take a look!

I'm pretty happy with it.  Now to get the pictures to fill the frames!

So it snowed here in Kansas.  Like a LOT.  We got about 11 inches at our house and some places I think they said up to 15.  Um yeah.

That meant snow days...for everyone except me!  Ha.  One thing I have quickly learned in changing jobs is that when you work for a stock exchange, it never closes.  So off to work (very early) I went on Tuesday morning to try to beat the snow while Jimmy and Charlie had a snow day together (Jimmy worked from home).  Tuesday night...the snow really came down and Charlie's day care was closed again (seriously??), so my dad, who's school was closed too, came over to watch him in the morning and they had quite the time.  Jimmy came home at lunch and then I came home later that afternoon - after a much needed grocery store stop!!

Needless to say, these were the only snow day pictures I got.

Yep...no outside snow play for me.  Sorry I'm a wimp when it comes to the cold.  But we did have a blast when I got home early Tuesday afternoon building tents!!

Did I mention I am loving sweets lately?

A fun little treat at my work on Monday was the cupcake truck came to visit for February birthdays and oh my goodness.  I got the monster cookie dough cupcake and it was to die for.

Check out The Sweet Tooth because they have such a fun website and come to birthday parties, showers, etc. if you are in the Kansas City area and interested!  They also drive around during the week and make stops.  How fun and HOW delicious!!

Wishing the happiest birthdays today to my best friend since I was 2, Katie!  Looking forward to visiting her in Oklahoma next weekend and seeing her new house!

And also, a happy birthday to my friend Emily!  Cannot wait to celebrate her little man that is set to arrive in a few months!!!  Baby Griffin - we can't wait for your arrival!!

Finally - if you have time for some extra prayers - would love for you to say them for my sweet friend Liz and her family.  Her step mom passed away this week from a battle with cancer.

And yes, my husband still thinks it's crazy because he was like "ppl that reviewed it said they were depressed and this book helped them - are you depressed?!". Ha. No - but it seems like it gives some good tips on how to get in control of your time...which is something I'm always looking for help on!! Happy weekend :)
