Week number 24 emotions were the culmination of all the prior 23 weeks....I was tired, in pain and just overall stressed out. I was happy to reach the official "6 month" mark but it was a little too much for me to handle all at once with a work trip, anniversary and trying to make that special when I was gone, Bark for Life meetings, no sleep, trying to coordinate schedules for getting the bathroom done (including a vanity delivery) and attempting to make decisions on the nursery.
All in all, still feeling good, but need to get my butt in gear with registering so my sweet friend, Lauren that keeps asking me for information for the baby shower invite she wants to make can actually have information to use (so sorry!). I'm so happy for the weekend and will hopefully have time for some sleep so I'm not so grumpy.
How far along: 24 weeks
Size of Baby BOY Carter: 10.5-11.8 inches long (ear of corn) and 12.7 - 20.8 ozFruit/vegetable comparison: Size of a grapefruit
Total weight gain: up to 14.5lbs now. When will this stop? haha - yes in like 16 more weeks!
Sleep: Pretty horrible this week.
Movement: Lots of movement from the little guy
Unglamorous body changes: Mainly my lower back - thinking of a prenatal massage.
Food cravings: No real cravings, but I was wanting a smoothie and got it.
What I miss: Not sure of anything specific this week
Strange experiences: Having a retailer I have never met out right ask me if I was pregnant. I thought the sales guy I work with was going to die because apparently you are not supposed to do that as a man!
Milestones: His skin is starting to become opaque!Best moment this week: Just happy to have this little guy inside me. Ready for next week because this one pretty much got the best of me
Ugh, I know the bad weeks (and days) are REALLY bad, but they don't last long. The hormones bring you down and take you back up. You are on the up swing!! Hope you have a great weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you posted this! Makes me feel better because last week, yep was feeling for sure more down than up! And you are right, the up swing is here! The bathroom is making progress, the nursery is completely cleared out and taped (ready to be painted) and the crib and glider are ordered now!!!!!!!! WAHOO!!!! Thanks for the encouragement :)
DeleteLookin' good mama! Hang in there...all of these bad days will be forgotten once your sweet angel arrives. Go get a massage! It helps ease the back pain, at least temporarily:)
